Giada's Feel Good Food book

One of the  best ways for me to keep feeling inspired to eat healthy is that I try to discover new, healthy and delicious dishes  that I can try to cook.

A good way to learn new dishes is to look at good cookbooks. Recently, I was able to get a copy of Giada De Laurentis' book entitled "Giada's Feel Good Food".

Giada de Laurentis, Emmy award winning celebrity of Food Network's cooking shows such as Everyday Italian, Giada at Home and Giada in Paradise, is an author of six New York Times bestselling books. She was born in Rome but grew up in Los Angeles in the U.S., where she currently resides with her husband and her daughter.

The book is a good read as it provides some lifestyle, wellness and beauty tips too apart from new and healthy recipes.

Giada has a section in the book which features her make-up must haves, workout tips and she also shares how she has influenced her family to eat healthy dishes especially her young daughter who enjoys eating healthy and yummy dishes that she whips up at home. She is indeed a good role model for working women and mothers.

Giada also shares tips on how to eat healthy when you are traveling. She mentioned that she's the type of person who does not skip breakfast and she prefers to eat a hardboiled egg and a banana if she is rushing in the morning.

The book includes 120 recipes and some of which are even vegan, dairy free, gluten free and  vegetarian  dishes.

It is a book that is inspirational and informative. The beautiful photos in the book simply make you feel that you do not need to deprive yourself of good tasting food when you choose to eat healthy.

Will definitely try some of her recipes after I shop for organic ingredients from the market this coming weekend.

It's nice to have some feel good food as Giada simply puts it. Cheers!
